Wyoming Standardized Test Facing Glitches

March 9, 2010
Reported by Associated Press

Wyoming Department of Education officials are still working with a company that provides standardized tests after a glitch at several schools last week.
A department spokesman says that NCS Pearson officials have made progress in identifying the problem but have not yet provided a solution.
NCS Pearson has the state contract to administer the Proficiency Assessments for Wyoming Students or PAWS test.
State officials say a computer problem was preventing some districts from completing the online portion of a paws practice test.
