New Unemployment Figures Reflect Little Change

March 10, 2010
Reported by Associated Press

New unemployment figures are out for the cowboy state, and the changes are minimal.
Wyoming's seasonably adjusted rate went from 7.5 to 7.6 percent from December to January.
Meanwhile, the national rate stands at 9.7 percent.
The state has lost more than 5 percent of its jobs over the past two years.
Only the government and educational and health services sectors have escaped the job losses.
The sectors hit the hardest in last year are construction, natural resources, and mining.
As of December, Lincoln and Big Horn counties have the highest unemployment rates at 11 and 10.8 percent, respectively.
Albany County has the lowest unemployment rate at 5.7 percent.
